1. Create the saleable item
Select the shop and create or edit the item. Review its name, category, price, tax assignment, availability and relevant identifiers. If several locations share records, check which values are shop-specific before saving.
2. Define choices customers can make
Use Options to configure the supported choice groups and item assignments. Review required selections, allowed quantities and price effects. Keep choice names distinct enough for both the customer and kitchen to understand the resulting ticket.
3. Review packaging and takeaway behavior
Review the packaging settings and inherited rules that apply to the shop, category and item. Confirm the packaging charge, VAT and fulfillment behavior on a realistic checkout. Do not add a second manual charge when the configured policy already supplies it.
4. Arrange and publish the appropriate surface
Use POS layout for cashier presentation and Kiosk → Menu for self-service presentation. Verify category order and product choices in each. Kiosk menu publication and the device’s reported applied state are separate from simply saving a catalog item.
Available features depend on your shop configuration, permissions and supported devices.
