1. Confirm the device and register
Open POS → Devices and choose the intended device. Check its shop/register assignment, reported version and last contact before changing settings. A device’s saved configuration is not the same as a current connection to the physical printer or terminal.
2. Review operator access
Use Operator security and the shop’s user/role settings to grant the intended working access. Review who can use the register and who can authorize actions requiring a manager. Do not share one person’s credentials to avoid configuring another operator.
3. Configure connected hardware in the POS
Use the POS device settings for local USB/Bluetooth selection or network endpoints and physical tests. Administrative configuration and mirrors help inspection, but do not remotely attach USB hardware or prove a real paper result.
4. Inspect health, updates and history
Compare the most recent observations with saved settings and the installed app version. Investigate stale reporting before interpreting old data as current. Device revocation or reassignment is an administrative action; review active sales and pending synchronization before changing the working register.
Available features depend on your shop configuration, permissions and supported devices.
